Tasting from 6:30pm-8:30pm
Join us for a special Tuesday tasting with Winemaker, David Merfeld of Northstar Vineyards. ‘Merf’ as his is called has been with Northstar in Washington since 2001, and has been the winemaker since 2005. On Tuesday, April 10th, David will be pouring wines from Northstar as well as a few wines under his own label. The tasting starts at 6:30pm. We look forward to seeing you!
Northstar's first vintage was in 1994. They started with the goal of making world class merlot. Located on approximately the same latitude (46ºN) as the Bordeaux region, Washington State is a perfect area for growing Merlot. The longer growing season and larger diurnal shifts let merlot reach a rich maturity not achieved by many vineyards in Bordeaux.
